Skylar & Emma Petry

Skylar and Emma Petry haven’t even been in real estate for two full years, but the numbers tell a story that feels far bigger than the timeline.
They launched their careers in May 2024. From May through December, they closed just under $10 million in sales. In 2025, that figure jumped to $27 million, with 88 homes sold, a robust pipeline, and the foundation laid for a growing real estate team in Oklahoma City.
“There was no plan B,” Skylar says. “We hit the ground running.”
That mindset of being decisive, disciplined, and all-in defines everything they do.
From Early Responsibility to Purposeful Risk
Skylar and Emma grew up fast. They married young, bought their first home at 19, and became parents early. Today, they’re celebrating nearly 10 years of marriage with two children — Troy, 10, and Addi, 7 — both active in sports and constantly on the move.
Before real estate, Skylar worked in commercial heating and air conditioning, holding an HVAC license and working union jobs in both sales and service. Supporting a family wasn’t optional; it was the priority.
But real estate had always lingered in the background.
Skylar still remembers buying his first home and being struck not by the transaction itself, but by the REALTOR®. The ease. The confidence. The joy. “He was wearing flip-flops and cargo shorts,” Skylar recalls. “He was clearly having fun. I remember thinking, ‘I want to do that.’”
Emma’s family also had deep roots in real estate and building in Oklahoma City. That exposure made the business feel tangible, something worth pursuing when the timing was right.
Emma Leads the Way
“I started real estate school for the first time when I was 21,” she says. However, she never got to complete it, especially with an infant and a toddler. “I finally completed it in 2024 and hit the ground running,” she comments. She entered real estate after spending nine years as a stay-at-home mom, raising their kids while Skylar worked.
When their children reached first and third grade, she stepped in fully and immediately made an impact. Her success was instant. Simply put, she was made for real estate, putting four homes under contract in her very first month.
That was the moment everything changed.
“Once I saw the commission checks,” Skylar says, “it was a no-brainer. I thought, ‘If you can sell four, I can sell four.’”
He walked away from HVAC, committed fully, and told everyone he knew what he was doing next. He learned the business from the inside out and focused on serving at the highest level.
“We were just super grateful,” Skylar says. “It felt like a huge blessing and still does.”
Foundation First, Growth Second
The Petrys approach real estate intentionally. Year one was about learning, systems, education, and consistency. Year two became about scale.
In 2024, they built the foundation. In 2025, they expanded rapidly, not by chasing gimmicks, but by adding value.
“Being educated and adding value to your clients makes everything simpler,” Skylar explains. “People always ask what works. For us, it’s understanding the market, being strategic, and actually marketing listings, not just taking photos and hoping for the best.”
Skylar thrives on creative marketing. A home on a golf course doesn’t just get interior shots. It gets drone footage showcasing the course, the clubhouse, and the lifestyle. Neighborhood amenities, design styles, and story-driven visuals all matter.
“I enjoy thinking outside the box,” he says. “And honestly, I just have fun with it.”
That creativity paired with authenticity has brought business their way, including sellers whose homes weren’t moving with other agents. People see their approach online and reach out because it feels fresh, real, and human.
A Business and Life Built Together
Skylar and Emma operate as true partners. They work on separate transactions and shared ones, often dividing roles strategically. Skylar leans into listings and marketing, Emma focuses on buyers and her personal sphere, including longtime friends from high school.
“It doesn’t even feel like a job,” Emma says. “I get to talk to people and look at beautiful homes and we get to build something together, which is amazing.”
They’ve hired an assistant, implemented systems, and learned how to manage time intentionally. They travel, vacation, and stay fully operational even when out of town.
“We can leave town and not skip a beat,” Skylar says.
At home, they’re intentional too with board games during Christmas break, wrestling tournaments, skate park trips with Troy, makeup and nail time with Addi. Life is busy, but they’re present with their kids as two engaged parents.
Authenticity as a Brand
Skylar and Emma don’t try to fit a mold. Skylar will show an $800,000 home in jeans and a hoodie. Emma embraces comfort and practicality over polish.
“We’re authentic,” Skylar says. “You’re going to use me because you like me, not because of how I dress.”
That authenticity extends to social media, where they share their lives openly and honestly. Skylar, who recently celebrated six years of sobriety, credits that growth as foundational.
“That’s made me who I am today,” he says.
Looking Ahead
Now, Skylar and Emma are building a real estate team, with a long-term goal of opening their own brokerage. They want to create a place where agents are supported, educated, and able to keep more of what they earn with real guidance and systems already in place.
“We want agents to be here because they want freedom and flexibility,” Skylar says. “And because they feel supported.”
For Emma, it’s also about showing others what’s possible, especially parents juggling work and family.
“I’m a hands-on mom,” she says. “And I want people to see that you can build a serious career and still be present.”
Growth, they believe, never stops.
“You’re never at the top,” Emma adds. “You can always grow. You can always learn more.”
Less than two years in, Skylar and Emma Petry have already built something remarkable, grounded in service, driven by creativity, and anchored in authenticity.
And they’re just getting started.
