Shelby Weston and The Weston Team

At just 24 years old, Shelby Weston entered the mortgage business with a clear sense of drive and a hunger to build something meaningful. It was 2004, and while many people his age were still testing career paths, Shelby was already leaning into opportunity—motivated, focused, and eager to prove himself.
That opportunity came through a close friend who was rapidly finding success as a mortgage broker. Recognizing Shelby’s work ethic and competitive spirit, the friend invited him to join the team. From the very beginning, the environment was fast-paced and performance-driven, fostering a healthy sense of competition that Shelby immediately embraced.
Having grown up deeply involved in sports, competition had always been a part of his DNA. “I’ve always enjoyed pushing myself,” Shelby says. “That mindset carried over naturally into my work.” Paired with the strong work ethic instilled in him from a young age, it became the foundation that allowed him to navigate challenges, learn quickly, and grow consistently in the business.
Faith, Family, and Foundation
Shelby’s perspective on success is deeply rooted in his upbringing. As a PK—a pastor’s kid—he was raised in an environment where service, integrity, and accountability were not just spoken values, but lived ones. Watching his parents serve both their church and their community shaped how Shelby approaches relationships, leadership, and business today.
“I genuinely love helping people,” he says. “Helping people achieve their financial goals is my why.”
That service-first mindset has translated seamlessly into his career. Whether working with first-time homebuyers, seasoned investors, or families navigating complex financial decisions, Shelby thrives on finding solutions that truly serve the client—not just closing a deal.
Consistency at the Highest Level
God has blessed Shelby and his team with an exceptional level of success, built steadily over time. For more than 10 years, the team has consistently ranked in the top 1% of loan originators nationwide. Even more notably, for the last four years, Shelby has ranked number one in total loan volume for the State of Oklahoma.
“I’m incredibly grateful for what we’ve been able to accomplish together,” Shelby says. “None of this happens alone.”
At the heart of that success is his wife, Kristi Weston, who has been by his side throughout his entire career. As Head of Operations, Kristi plays a pivotal role in the business—overseeing systems, processes, and execution with precision and leadership. Shelby is quick to credit her as a lifeline to the operation and a major reason for the team’s sustained excellence.
A Team Built on Trust
Shelby’s leadership extends well beyond numbers. He has intentionally built a team that reflects his values—trustworthy, committed, and deeply invested in the people they serve. His core team includes Chris Weston, Licensed Loan Partner; Jennie Hale, Licensed Loan Partner; Audrey Taylor, Licensed Loan Partner; Tracy Ritter, Head of Closing; Cassie Eccard, Senior Processor; and Shenna Spadafora, Senior Processor.
Together, the group functions with a level of cohesion that clients feel immediately. “No two deals are ever the same,” Shelby explains. “I love the challenge of being creative and thinking outside the box to make deals work—especially when others can’t figure it out.”
That problem-solving mindset, paired with unwavering follow-through, has become a hallmark of his reputation.
Life Beyond the Office
Outside of work, Shelby is grounded by family and time spent outdoors. He enjoys hunting and fishing with his sons, while his daughter loves surfing behind the boat and soaking up time on the lake together. Golf rounds with close friends provide both relaxation and camaraderie, and date nights with Kristi remain a priority—intentional time that keeps their partnership strong, both personally and professionally.
These moments, Shelby says, are what keep him balanced and focused.
The Reputation That Matters Most
When asked how he hopes others would describe him, Shelby doesn’t hesitate.
“I want to be known as the kind of person who never leaves you hanging,” he says. “Hardworking, honest, and loyal. Someone who shows up when you need help—and stays when things get hard.”
It’s not a slogan or a sales pitch. It’s a way of operating that has defined his career from day one.
For Shelby Weston, success isn’t just measured in volume or rankings—though those are undeniable. It’s measured in trust earned, promises kept, and people helped along the way. And after more than two decades in the business, that legacy is still being built—one relationship at a time.
