“I’ve been in real estate all my life,” she shares. Starting as a REALTOR® in 2014, she learned the ropes of the real estate industry before moving into title 3 years ago. “My father always told me to get into title,” she smiles. “The title bug was sparked by him.” Real estate is in her roots. “My father has always been in real estate, and both my parents are very supportive,” she shares. “I have really good parents and family.” She is thankful for their unwavering support as she blazed her own trail as a small business owner and entrepreneur. “I love my parents dearly. Their guidance and unwavering presence have shaped who I am today.”
She continues, “Having a strong support system truly makes all the difference. My children’s father and I work together to care for our kids, and we lean on each other every step of the way. He’s such a loving and dedicated father to our children. Beyond that, my mother, father, siblings and in-loves all play a meaningful role in raising our children. Knowing that I have such a loving and dependable network allows me to show up fully, both as a parent at home and as a professional in my business. I feel blessed.“
And above all, she credits her success to faith. “I couldn’t have done this without God,” Chikki says. “God is the COO of my business and my life. Without Him, none of this would have been possible. He’s opened doors for me that no man could.”

Faith, Family, and Perseverance
The name Lottie Scott carries deep meaning for Chikki. It’s a special way to show tribute to both sides of her entrepreneurial family. “My grandparents owned an antique shop on Lottie Street, and my great-grandmother owned several grocery stores that I thought were on Scott Street,” she laughs. “My grandma later told me it wasn’t Scott Street, but by then, the company was already open!” The name stuck, and now it honors both family lines.
The name also represents her fighting spirit. Scott means “painted warrior.” The warrior resonates with Chikki. “I’ve been through a lot and seen a lot,” she says. Although the road hasn’t been easy, she knows how to persevere in the face of adversity.
As the first Black-owned title company on the east side of Oklahoma City, Lottie Scott Title Services is breaking barriers and setting new standards for excellence in the industry.

Behind every great business is a great team, and Chikki couldn’t be prouder of hers.
Her Office Manager, Toya Stennis, plays an essential role. “Toya ensures our office runs smoothly while supporting title and escrow operations,” Chikki says. “She brings a perfect blend of administrative leadership and title responsibilities. I appreciate Toya and her dedication to Lottie Scott Title; she’s exceptional and she truly does not play around!”
Senior Escrow Officer, Heather Stroud, has been with the company almost from the beginning and brings over two decades of experience. “She has played a key role and the customers really love her. She also has a keen eye for detail and gets things done.” Not to mention that she’s not afraid of a challenge, especially with her experience and extensive knowledge. “I’m very thankful and I appreciate Heather, She’s the best! As a mother of four, Chikki balances a busy career with family life. “Real estate is 24/7. It doesn’t stop,” she says. “Since I’ve been in the business my whole life, I’ve learned to integrate it with my family. I can attend all my kids’ events and still run my business. It’s all blended together. Real estate is my life.” It’s become a lifestyle for her.
Her love for real estate runs deeper than business. “Real estate brings security and stability to families,” she explains. “It’s where you rest after a long day, where you make memories, and it can build generational wealth.” To own your own home is priceless.
