“Inch by inch, life’s a cinch. Yard by yard, life is hard.”
It’s a simple phrase, but for Alexis Burckart, it’s a guiding light—especially on the days that stretch her to the limit as a wife, mother of four daughters, broker, and business owner. And while her story may read like a whirlwind, she’s walked it one intentional inch at a time. These words of wisdom that she treasured from her father are how she lives her life – one day at a time!
From Finance to Broker/Owner
A nine-year veteran of the real estate world and founder of Access Real Estate, Alexis brings not only expertise but a heartfelt mission to everything she does. “I studied finance in college with a focus in real estate,” she shares.
With a grandfather who was a prominent real estate owner in Oklahoma City and a father-in-law who’s a developer in Arkansas, it was always part of the bigger picture for this go-getter.
Before real estate, Alexis carved out a successful career in commercial lending and business banking, managing accounts for companies with up to $50 million in revenue. “I loved helping clients make sound financial decisions,” she recalls. But when she started a family, flexibility became essential. Her sister, Iman Dangora, was already thriving in real estate and encouraged her to join the industry. It turned out to be the perfect fit.
Together, the sisters formed a powerhouse team—one rooted in trust, mutual respect, and a shared sense of purpose. “We work together to keep our sanity,” Alexis laughs. “We still don’t know what we’d do without each other.”
In 2022, Alexis launched Access Real Estate, a brokerage designed with agents in mind. “When I got my broker’s license almost four years ago, we had enough volume as a team that it made sense to create our own space,” she explains. She cleverly structured the brokerage in a way that keeps more money in agents' pockets—so they can hire their own assistant or marketing company and have control over how their business is run.
Word spread quickly, and other agents began joining her. What blossomed was a vibrant, professional, people-first culture—a reflection of Alexis herself.
Her passion? Service. “You never know what cards you’ll be dealt,” she says. “I want to be the kind of person who shows up—with a loving and caring spirit—for the clients I serve and the agents I lead.”
Her advice to up-and-coming agents? “Wake up and do your very best. Be someone your clients can rely on. Help them work toward their dreams, and everything else will follow.”
Prayer + Perseverance
Alexis knows a thing or two about facing the unexpected. In 2023, Alexis was pregnant with her fourth daughter when her husband, Blake, underwent emergency open-heart surgery at the age of 36. “We were sitting in the ER, and they told me he was in heart failure. I didn’t know what that meant. I thought, ‘Am I going to be a widow with four kids?’”
Through prayer, perseverance, and the support of family and friends, the Burckarts came through the storm. “God carried us,” she reflects. “I never would’ve imagined having to step up in my career to the degree that I have. But I’m so thankful for the full life I have now.”
Family, Fun and Faith
Family is at the center of everything. Alexis and Blake have been married for 12 years and are raising four daughters—Isabelle (9), Grace (7), Blaire (3), and baby Mary Micah (1).
“I never would have imagined having four girls,” laughs Alexis. “It’s been a wild ride.” She is so glad that God’s plans were above her own. “He pushed me to a new level in my family life to have four amazing girls.” Her life is full. “I was stretched to a new level,” she admits. It helped her to realize her potential.
Rounding out the family is Dickson, their energetic goldendoodle. The Burckarts are always on the move, whether it’s pool days in Oklahoma or trips to Mexico, Florida, and Colorado. When they’re not traveling, Alexis is always with family, playing games or soaking up time together.
Outside of real estate, Alexis is a quiet soul. “I’m actually an introvert,” she confesses. “People might not guess it, but I’m most content reading a book alone on the beach.” And yet, her days are full of people—clients, agents, family—whom she guides with warmth, wisdom, and grace.
More than anything, Alexis is motivated by her faith and her daughters. “My why every day is to show up for my family. I want to answer God’s calling and help the people He places in my life. I’m raising girls in a world where women are being asked to do more—and I want them to know they are strong, capable, and smart. If they take life day by day, they can accomplish whatever they set their hearts on.”
She may be walking inch by inch, but Alexis Burckart is leaving a lasting impact with every step. This Top Producer wouldn’t have it any other way.
